GESB today announced a new alliance with banking and financial services giant HSBC. GESB manages the largest WA-based superannuation fund.
The new agreement will see GESB's 280,000 members given discounts on a broad range of banking products and services, including home and personal loans, as well as credit cards. GESB Chief Executive Officer, Michele Dolin, said a commitment to delivering better services to members was the driving force behind the new alliance.
"We have a very strong member ethos and a true commitment to service, and HSBC shares this focus," Ms Dolin said.
"The alignment of our strategic directions in terms of investment in self service and web-based distribution makes this an ideal opportunity to bring new benefits to our members."
Ms Dolin said the alliance placed GESB members in a good position to take advantage of HSBC's proven capacity and strong reputation.
"HSBC is one of the leading banking and financial services providers," Ms Dolin said.
"To have HSBC create a dedicated model for GESB members is a sign of our prominence in the industry and this alliance cements our position as a provider of good value products that help deliver financial well-being for our members."
Under the alliance, GESB members can access a dedicated service centre and website, as well local relationship managers in Perth.
"We are proud to now be able to give our members access to a wide range of banking products at a discounted rate. This is just another example of GESB's striving to meet our members' needs," Ms Dolin said.
The new alliance is effective as of 21 May 2007 and available to all GESB members.
