DEVELOPERS will have another try at developing the former Wesfarmers Building on Wellington Street.
DEVELOPERS will have another try at developing the former Wesfarmers Building on Wellington Street.
Council approved the latest application to put 47 apartments into 569 Wellington Street.
The $4 million proposal is the fourth for the building to come before council since May 1995. To date no proposal has been successful and the building remains vacant.
The only bone of contention remains the right of way adjoining the building which is used by Queen Street carpark as an exit to Wellington Street.
Council’s legal advice suggests the dominant owners, including the Queens Street car park, should be left to sort out the right of way issue by themselves.
