Firepower has won the UK Institute of Transport Management's 2007 Innovation in Fuel Technology Award.
The Institute says the honour recognises how Firepower's commercial products save its customers money while significantly reducing harmful emissions, and was granted after research into the company's global business.
"Organizations need to look beyond simply using standard gasoline, diesel or heavy fuel oils alone," the Institute said. "The use of hydrocarbon-based fuel conditioners not only reduces harmful emissions of these fuels, they also reduce product maintenance costs while enhancing product/boiler performance.
"Firepower is an organisation that is pioneering such innovative product offering, making them a deserving winner of the award."
John Finnin, Firepower's CEO, said he was delighted with the award, which also gives the company preferred supplier status.
"We greatly appreciate this recognition. It demonstrates the strength of our product portfolio, as well as the international reach of our business.
"Firepower is dedicated helping large diesel users save money and benefit the environment at the same time. Our diesel fuel conditioners improve lubricity and combustion, and appeal to many companies in numerous industries."
