Finding Gold: How to Raise Money from Venture Capital

The Committee for Economic Development of Australia (CEDA) is presenting a seminar about venture capital on May 17 at the Hyatt Regency Perth. Venture capital in Australia is a multi-billion dollar industry, yet many entrepreneurs complain they cannot raise money from venture capitalists. Three of Perth’s leading venture capitalists – Foundation Capital investment directors Rob Newman and Mark Dutton and ANZ Integrated Capital Solutions director Marshall Allen – will talk about what types of companies get funding. Other issues to be covered include succession and generational change – something that can often be held back by a lack of equity funding – initial public offers and the process of raising capital. The seminar also offers tips on how to improve your business’s chances of receiving venture capital. Registration costs are $85 for CEDA members and $97 for non-members.
