Almost a year after leaving ASX-listed entity Nexion Group, founders Paul Glass and Kevin Read have launched a new technology company.
A group of industry experts have joined to launch private company Omnia Global Group, offering a one-stop shop for technology services from its Leederville base.
Speaking to Business News, Mr Glass said he and fellow Nexion Group co-founder Kevin Read left the ASX-listed company to build Trinity Networks about a year ago.
Mr Glass, who is Trinity Networks' co-founder and chief executive, said Trinity joined with fellow Perth technology company Vsns Studios to create Omnia Global.
“By combining the two companies into one, we're able to offer a service in the market that's fairly rare, we believe, because we're able to offer pretty much everything in technology,” he said.
“It's different from the other service provider models because what we do is we offer customers a fixed cost per month that links into their budget … that's [for] a single service that gives them access to the entire breadth of technology.
“It's a different, unique way of how we do things that allow quick and easy adoption, and allow us to then help companies to move into technology and adopt the technology innovation without having large complex managed service contracts with different providers.”
Cybersecurity is one of Omnia Global’s main focus, Mr Glass told Business News.
Mr Glass said the service, which operated with a budget model, would help businesses facing economic challenges.
“A lot of businesses are doing it tough and to ignore that would be stupid,” he said.
“Businesses are struggling; they're struggling to find staff, they're struggling to find resources, revenue's tough for businesses at the moment.
“We also believe that the bigger companies have access to bigger budgets with technology, but it’s the small medium businesses in Perth and in Australia that really keep this economy going.
“It is tough, and I think technology products shouldn't be built around the service provider, it should be built around the customer.”
