Enerji makes 'green tech' acquisition

Perth-based energy specialist Enerji has announced its $5 million acquisition of "green tech" company CoGen.

The deal has seen sole shareholder of CoGen Greg Pennefather paid with $5 million of fully paid ordinary shares in Enerji.

CoGen applies low grade waste heat recovery, generating base-load power.

Cogen claims low grade waste heat is an untapped global resource and one which, if used to its full potential, could reduce fossil fuel power houses' carbon emissions by up to 30%.
