Perth-based IT services provider Empired says it has secured a $5 million contract from the Western Australian Police to provide strategic consulting services.
Western Australian Police is responsible for the largest single police jurisdiction in the world, an area covering 2.5 million square kilometres with a structure comprising three regions, 14 districts, 162 police stations and more than 9,000 employees.
The contract is a three year term with two one year options to extend. Contract pricing is based on an expected program of work and associated work effort. This provides WA Police the flexibility to increase and decrease services in line with their requirements.
Empired will provide collaborative and high quality independent services in the areas of strategic advice and planning, benefits realisation and project/program delivery assurance to assist WA Police in achieving their business requirements. Empired is confident that the contract will ensure an opportunity to develop a strong relationship with WA Police and explore areas where Empired can provide additional value and services to WA Police.
Empired Managing Director, Russell Baskerville said "I am extremely pleased that WA Police recognised the value Empired could deliver through our extensive exposure in the WA Government sector and our experience in strategic consulting services."
"Our Enterprise Strategy and Architecture Practice has been built on the back of acquiring Quadrant Group in late 2007, securing this contract with WA Police is testament to Empired's ability to acquire, integrate and extend these services."
"I am looking forward to a long and mutually beneficial relationship with WA Police where we will strive to exceed our contracted obligations and ensure we continue to add value in all areas of our engagement."
This contract win follows a number of other multi-million dollar contracts recently secured by Empired. Commenting on this Mr Baskerville said "The previous six months has seen a number of large multimillion dollar contracts secured and demonstrates Empired's ability to grow organically and win major contracts against larger international competitors."
"Focus now needs to be applied to converting these contracts into operational delivery that will create value for both our clients and our shareholders."
In closing Mr Baskerville commented "I would like to thank all our staff who worked diligently to ensure Empired's success in these recent contract wins, our clients who continually value and trust our services and our shareholders for their continued support and commitment."
