Perth-based IT services company, Empired Ltd, has acquired the Enterprise ICT business assets of Commander Communications Ltd in Western Australia, which comes with forecast annual revenue of $15 million this financial year.
Empired will also take over the business contracts and responsibilities relating to the provision of IT services and the supply of enterprise hardware and software licensing.
The agreement also includes the purchase of fixed assets, including the fit-out of Commander's Western Australian premises in Adelaide Terrace, with capacity for an additional 40 staff.
The deal, worth $30,000 in cash, will add approximately 33 employees to Empired, taking its total staff numbers to approximately 160 employees on completion of the sale on February 13.
Empired has not purchased any employee liabilities and entitlements or components of the business relating to commodity hardware sales and procurement.
The deal allows Empired to expand its government and corporate client base in WA, and Sydney-based Commander to offload a non-core asset.
