Malaga-based window furnishings firm Kresta Holdings has bounced back from Ian Trahar's failed takeover attempt by adding Kevin Eley and Jonathan Huston to its board as non-executive directors.
Mr Eley recently retired as chief executive of Sydney-based branded product marketer HGL, and has held board positions with a number of public companies, including Laubman and Pank and Sabre Group.
Mr Huston is a former managing director of WorldMark, which trades as Tintacar and Defensepak, and spearheaded the acquisition of the Croissant Express chain in 2004.
Kresta chairman John Molloy said the appointments would enhance the board's strategic capabilities.
"Both Mr Eley and Mr Huston are highly experienced executives with a strong
track record in assisting the companies in which they are involved build and
maintain sustainable profits," Mr Molloy said.
"We welcome them to the Kresta board and look forward to them working with
the existing board on the delivery of a focused strategy for the company."
Mr Trahar's bid to gain control of Kresta fplded on March 16, after it failed to gain more than 40 per cent of shareholder support.
Mr Trahar and fellow director Peter Hatfull were dumped from the board at an extraordinary general meeting, also on March 16.
