Eden Energy IPO closes early after raising $8.2m

Tasman Resources NL subsidiary Eden Energy has closed its inital public offer under the prospectus dated 29th of March, accepting applications for approximately $8.2 million worth of shares.

The minimum subscription required to be raised under the prospectus was $7 million.

The offer, which was originally planned to have been open until 26 May 2006, has been closed early to enable Eden to accelerate progress on its various projects.

Eden Energy is expected to list on the ASX within the next 2-3 weeks.

Eden Energy has finalised plans to develop a range of alternative energy projects, including hydrogen technology, coal bed methane and geothermal energy projects, from the proceeds of its IPO.

The directors of Eden Energy Limited have closed the offer under the prospectus dated 29th of March 2006 and have accepted applications for approximately $8.2 million worth of shares pursuant to that prospectus. The minimum subscription required to be raised under the prospectus was $7 million.
The offer, which was originally planned to have been open until 26 May 2006, has been closed early to enable Eden to accelerate progress on its various projects.
It is anticipated that the shares and options in Eden Energy Limited (ASX Code: EDE) will be quoted on the ASX within the next 2-3 weeks.
