Rob Druitt has been re-elected to serve another term as president of the Real Estate Institute of Western Australia, while Peter Sim has been welcomed back onto the board after a three-year break.
Below is the full announcement:
The elected governing Council for the Real Estate Institute of Western Australia has been confirmed for the coming year.
The three year rotation of members on the Council saw three positions become vacant in July, triggering an election during September.
Councillors David Airey and Allen Pendal were re-elected unopposed, while the third position was filled by Peter Sim.
Councillor Sim, who previously served on REIWA Council until 2005, joins with existing Councillors to complete the nine member team.
The newly constituted Council has re-elected Rob Druitt to serve another term as President while Councillor David Airey will continue as his deputy.
President Rob Druitt welcomed the return of Peter Sim and said he was looking forward to a more stable year ahead for the Council.
"There are some large scale projects on REIWA's agenda including a major overhaul of our IT systems, the execution of a significant marketing campaign, the redevelopment of our premises in Subiaco and engaging with the new State Government on policy," he said.
The Council now includes Rob Druitt, David Airey, Allen Pendal (Chairman of the Finance and Risk Management Committee), Alan Bourke, Jennie Bryant, Ian Cornell, Nik Jones, Kent Murphy and Peter Sim.
"There's a terrific mix of skills and experience on the Council, and I look forward to harnessing that to steer REIWA and its members through the difficult market and uncertain economic conditions that lie ahead of us in the medium term," Mr Druitt said.
