DIPLOMA Group has been awarded a $9 million contract to build a headquarters and early intervention centre for Autism WA – adding to a host of bigger projects the construction company has announced in recent weeks.
The new Shenton Park facility will include 1,900 square metres of office space, 620sqm of specialised space and 160sqm of outdoor play area.
Architects Cameron Chisholm and Nicol designed the project.
Construction is scheduled to begin by the end of the month, with a 46-week construction program.
Last month, Diploma announced projects in the Perth CBD and Midland worth a collective $155 million, bringing the total value of developments on the books of the listed property group to $560 million.
The recent project announcements follow the purchase of an 872sqm at Plain Street, East Perth, in November, which Diploma said was earmarked for a $60 million development.
Last week, Diploma Group said it had secured a 2,634sqm site in Midland for a $25 million, 60-apartment mixed-use complex.
Diploma is currently building the Foundry Apartments in Midland.
At Pier Street in the CBD, Diploma last month received approval for its $80 million Department of Housing joint venture, which will deliver 161 apartments and 550sqm of commercial space.
