Construction and development firm Diploma Group has vehemently denied claims from the state's largest construction union that workers were not being paid at the Queens Riverside development in East Perth.
The group came under attack from the Construction, Forestry, Mining and Energy Union this morning, which alleged dozens of workers at Queens Riverside haven't been paid for four months, while others paid by cheque saw those cheques bounce.
Diploma chief executive Nick Di Latte said he was astonished by the "misinformation" being spread by the CFMEU.
Mr Di Latte said the subcontractors that the CFMEU claimed hadn't been paid have confirmed they were receiving wages.
"There are no issues over payment, what this is really stemming from is (CFMEU assitant secretary) Joe McDonald's attempt to get back on building sites," Mr Di Latte said.
"We received a letter from the CFMEU two days ago seeking authority and permission to let them back on our sites.
"We turned around and said, 'no we're not moving from our current position', and as a consequence of that he's come down on site this morning and claimed that 200 people have walked off site.
"No one has walked off site, they've all been there and they've been working all day."
Mr Di Latte said the group's finances remained robust, and was particularly bemused by the claim that Diploma's cheques were bouncing.
"We don't even pay by cheque, we're EFT so it's complete nonsense and lies on behalf of Joe MacDonald," he said.
Meanwhile, Diploma announced settlements are underway for its latest apartments development, on the same day it has come under fire from unions for allegedly not paying its workers at another.
Diploma released a statement today that it had achieved practical completion at Zenith, and it expected 50 per cent of the apartments to be settled before June 30.
