The three level office building will house the Dubai Electricity and Water Authority.
Work is expected to commence on site immediately and is scheduled for completion within 18 months.
Diploma has an office in Dubai and all its activities in UAE are undertaken by its controlled entity Diploma Group LLC.
Managing director of Diploma Construction John Norup said the company's impressive track record and delivery performance in Australia provided a good platform for business negotiations in the United Arab Emirates.
'This project has been secured with Department of Energy & Water Authority, one of the most prominent and reputable government departments in the UAE, and we are confident it will translate into additional work with DEWA and other government agencies in the future.
'The United Arab Emirates and the Gulf Cooperation Council region are providing good future growth prospects for the company,' said Mr Norup.

Diploma Group LLC is pleased to announce the signing of a contract to construct a 3 level office building for Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) in Dubai.
Diploma secured an unlimited building licence in the Emirate of Sharjah (United Arab) in 2008 and has since secured construction licences in Abu Dhabi and Dubai providing excellent opportunities for expansion within the international arena.
