WESTERN Australian-owned dairy company Casa Dairy has returned from the Australian Grand Dairy awards with the title of ‘Australian grand champion dairy product’.
The specialty yoghurt and cheese producer’s Divine Mango yoghurt won both champion flavoured yoghurt and Australian grand champion dairy product at the Melbourne awards this month.
According to Casa manager director Frank Letizia, the awards emphasise the company’s ethos and motto, ‘the taste lovers dairy’.
“This is a momentous occasion for our small team of passionate, dedicated staff and owners,” Mr Letizia said.
“As a family-owned business that has been through so much, this prestigious award is recognition beyond belief.
“For one man in particular – Brett Murphy, who has worked tirelessly for 26 years – this award proves that if you believe in something enough, you will eventually be rewarded for it.”
The former WA Business News 40under40 winner said the Canning Vale facilities Casa Dairy moved into in 2009 gave the company room to develop new products and the scope to diversify into new markets.
“It’s onwards and upwards for Casa,” Mr Letizia said.
