Construction and contracting group DORIC has won a $92 million contract to build a workers camp at Rio Tinto and Hancock Prospecting's Hope Downs iron ore joint venture.
DORIC will design and construct 920 workers' rooms and associated recreational facilities at Hope Downs, including a swimming pool, sports facilities and wet mess, administration areas and shops, kitchen facilities and bus shelters.
DORIC Contractors general manager Joseph Martin said the contract further cemented the group's position as a leading contractor for resources industry support infrastructure.
