Council has won the WA Municipal Association Best Practice in Local Government Award.
• COUNCIL has won the WA Municipal Association Best Practice in Local Government Award. It is the highest award a local government can apply for. To win the award council had to meet the criteria in customer service, innovation, process management and performance measurement.
• NEW standing orders are soon to be adopted by council. Councillor Laurance Goodman said he looked forward to the new orders.
“You can find your way around these ones. You couldn’t with the old ones,” he said.
• THE Meerilinga Young Children’s Foundation has been granted short-term use of the Florence Hummerston Centre. However, council is still keen to have the centre turned into a childhood museum.
