UNLISTED public company Cool Energy has appointed William Bloking to its board of directors. Cool said Mr Bloking had recently retired from BHP Billiton Petroleum, where he was president, Australia/Asia Gas. Mr Bloking was previously chief executive officer for BHP Billiton Petroleum (North West Shelf), where he had full responsibility for BHPB’s interest in the North West Shelf project, the Browse LNG project, and the Pilbara LNG project. Mr Bloking holds a number of other chairmanships and executive roles, including chairman of Cullen Wines (Australia), national vice chairman of the Australia-China Business Council, governor of the American Chamber of Commerce in Australia and adjunct professor at Murdoch University.
