I fully agree that this road needs upgrading, but not the way it is planned. There should be a tunnel connecting the airport to city with trains as well to serve the passengers from Airport. When I first came to Perth I took the Airport shuttle bus which is so old and outdated and certainly did give me an impression that I am in the third world country. We should follow the Singapore where you can travel to Airport by bus/Train or taxi and all this with out even coming out of Airport. Also I was told that this is the main road connecting eastern states to Perth which makes me wonder why this road is not made as Free way?
