Computers don’t need cables

COMPUTER networks no longer need cables.

Legend2 Enterprises has combined wireless local area networking technology and business activities process analysis in an attempt to produce the highest levels of productivity.

Its WLAN technology, showcased at the recent WA Computer & Technology Expo, provides connectivity for file, printer, software and Internet applications without needing cables.

Up to sixty-one computers can be connected using radio technology that comes in the form of plug-and-play hardware suitable for Windows 95/98/NT or Linux operating systems.

The system has a five layer security system and a line of sight capability of 305 metres.

Even in highly structured office environments Legend2 claim that the system can still support the network for a distance of up to 100 metres.
