Commodore edges Falcon in car sales battle

The Holden Commodore just edged out its rival, Ford's Flacon, as the nation's highest selling motor vehicle in February.

Holden sold 4,787 of its long standing favourite Commodore model, compared to sales of 4,743 Falcons during the month.

Of the manufacturers, Toyota fared the best, having five of the nation's top ten selling vehicles, including 3,395 Corallas and 2,607 Camrys.
