PUBLIC comment is sought on a report reviewing the Business Enterprise Centre Network.
The Small Business Development Corporation commissioned the report into the structure and operations of Western Australia’s 37 BECs and made recommendations for the network’s future.
The report Communities of Enterprise: Future strategies for the Business Enterprise Centres Network of Western Australia was produced by the Centre for Entrepreneurial Management and Innovation at the University of Western Australia.
The Government is also in the process of formulating its response to the report.
BECs provide support such as business counselling, referrals and information to existing and potential businesses in their local area. They are managed by a volunteer committee that employs a full-time centre manager.
Copies of the report are available at www.sbdc.com.au/becreview or can be had by phoning Aaron de Rozario on 9220 0222.
Comments must be lodged by February 24 and addressed to BEC Review, Small Business Development Corporation, GPO Box C111, Perth WA 6001.
