Cole appointed to Reed board

Former Paramount Mining Corporation Ltd chairman Steven Cole has taken up a deputy chairman position at Reed Resources Ltd.

"This marks a significant step in the corporate evolution of RDR and we are pleased to have been able to attract a person of Steven's ability to join the Board," chairman David Reed said.

"Steven not only has strong business and governance experience, but also has a sound understanding of the Company having been instrumental, in a legal capacity, in the original float of RDR in 2002."

Mr Cole is currently chairman of Solco Ltd and Emerson Stewart Group Ltd and is also the chairperson of two private investment trust companies with over $20 million over management.

Earlier this year Mr Cole quit the Paramount board after a group of dissident shareholders voted down a number of proposals at a general meeting, including increases to director remuneration.
