A joint venture led by Perth-based engineering and construction group Clough has won a two yea contract extension worth around $100 million from international energy giant ConocoPhillips.
Clough’s joint venture with AMEC has been providing operations and maintenance services to ConocoPhillips’ Bayu-Undan facility in the Timor Sea since July 2004.
Clough chief executive John Smith said the company was delighted to have extended the relationship.
“Clough AMEC has a long history of supporting ConocoPhillips on Bayu Undan and this award reinforces the strength of our relationship and our commitment to the successful operation of this facility,” AMEC Australia and South East Asia director Steve Ciccone said.
Under the contract extension, the joint venture will provide engineering, preparation, planning, hazard assessment and offshore field services for the Bayu Undan project, which consists of a floating storage facility, three fixed platforms and a remote well-head platform.
