Western Australian water and power solutions company Solco faces a period of disruption to its management team after it announced the resignation of both its managing director and chief executive, and chief financial officer.
Chief executive and managing director Duncan Stone's resignation came as a result of conflicts with the board over the business direction of the company.
When pressed on the matter, Solco chairman Robin Forbes was loath to elaborate further.
Chief financial officer Ashley Cooper, who is also the company secretary, leaves the company for family reasons, and he and his family will return to his home town of Melbourne.
Both men had in been in their roles for around two years, and the resignations leave a major hole in the company's senior management team.
"We hope to be able to replace Duncan fairly soon, but finding a CFO in Perth at the moment is quite difficult," Mr Forbes said.
Both positions will be filled in the short-term by executives from Solco's wholly owned Business-based subsidiary Choice Electric.
Choice's general manager John Cooper will become acting chief executive with immediate effect, and Gary Deam, Financial Controller of Choice Electric, will act in the role of chief financial controller.
Mr Cooper and Mr Deam will spend time in Perth in their Solco roles but will continue to be based in Brisbane.
Solco non executive director John Beech has been appointed as the company's company secretary.
Mr Beech was a former director of Orbital Corporation, as was Mr Forbes, who aside from being Solco's chairman, is also a broker at Hartleys stockbrokers in Perth.
