TRANSPORT and logistics firm Centurion has invested $10 million on upgrades at its Port Hedland operations and a new base in Broome.
The Port Hedland upgrade includes a new warehouse, offices, a docking facility and a sealed lay-down area, which will improve operator safety at the site.
At Broome, Centurion is moving to a 10,000 square metre site, twice the size of its previous facility.
Centurion executive general manager Mark Doig said the strategic investments would support the company’s existing operations and prepare for a significant growth in activity throughout the north-west.
“These new developments improve our capability to support the regional communities in the Pilbara and Kimberley and the increase in infrastructure projects through the region,” Mr Doig said.
The investment comes after Centurion opened its $40 million, 80,000sqm supply base in Hazelmere in March last year.
Centurion runs a fleet of more than 750 trucks, servicing metropolitan and regional Western Australia, with bases in Carnarvon, Kalgoorlie, Karratha, Kununurra, Newman and Tom Price.
