The Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia is holding the 2004 CA Business Forum on Wednesday May 12 to Friday May 14 at the Sheraton Hotel.
The forum has been designed to provide attendees with a blend of strategies for business and practice management as well as technical updates covering taxation, accounting, assurance, auditing, financial planning, corporate governance, technology and the Triple Bottom Line.
The forum will feature presentations form keynote speakers such as Australian Securities and Investments Commission chief accountant Greg Pound, who will discuss the priorities of Australia's corporate regulator for the 2004 financial reporting season; Inspector-General of Taxation David Vos, who will examine the way forward for tax administration; Australian Stock Exchange assistant manager – companies Tony Walsh, who will talk about ASX principles and good corporate governance; National Australia Bank senior economist Jeff Oughton, who will present an economic update; and Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia technical adviser Keith Reilly who will talk about CLERP 9.
Registration for the forum can be made with the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia for $1699 for the Gold Package which allows for attendance on all days of the forum, $1299 for the Silver Package which allows for attendance to 10 sessions, and $699 for the Bronze Package which allows for attendance to five sessions.
