Brandrill posts $8m profit

Henderson-based drill and blast company Brandrill Ltd has posted an 8 million net profit for the 2005-06 financial year, recovering from going into receivership during 2004-05.

While the company's net profit of last year, $24.6 million, was subject to a number of one-offs related to that period, the company's pre-tax profit for the 2005-06 financial year was $6.2 million, up 280 per cent from $1.6 million in the previous financial year.

Sales revenues were up 43 per cent, from $71 million on 2004-05 to $103 million in 2005-06.

Brandrill managing director Ken Perry said the company had laid foundations for further growth in 2007.
