THE old Perth Theatre Trust’s ticketing arm BOCS is up for sale.
Tenders close on 12 November and bids will then be analysed.
The BOCS network operates through a central telephone room and a network of outlets located at the Playhouse Theatre, Perth Concert Hall, His Majesty’s Theatre, Regal Theatre, Octagon Theatre and agencies in Fremantle, Karrinyup, Booragoon, Midland, Woodvale and Rockingham.
In addition to selling tickets for Perth Theatre Trust venues, BOCS has contracts to sell tickets for a wide range of events and venues.
It will continue to keep the ticketing business for the old trust venues for another five years.
Ministry for Culture & the Arts director general Ricky Burges said the decision to sell BOCS was made after a review of the network’s operations by management consultants Arthur Andersen.
According to the Arthur Andersen review, BOCS made an unaudited profit of $235,671 for the twelve months to June 1999.
