Bhagwan Marine has entered a new partnership with an eastern states-based software group to streamline management and maintenance of the oil and gas industry services company’s fleet of 100 boats.
The Geraldton-based company said it had signed an agreement with Pronto Software to utilise its business management software to streamline business processes, focusing on compiling data on individual vessels, repair costs and labour hours needed for repairs.
Bhagwan operates 100 vessels servicing some of the state’s biggest energy projects, including Chevron’s Gorgon liquefied natural gas development at Barrow Island.
The data will be made available to the company’s operational teams and managers to assist in decision-making.
Chief financial officer Josie Pane said Pronto’s software suite stood out from its competitors through a comprehensive tender process.
“Pronto really impressed our senior management team and board, because it demonstrated exactly how the solution would streamline real processes in our business,” Ms Pane said.
“The live demonstration recreated scenarios using our actual transaction data – which not only highlighted our current issues, but clearly articulated and revealed what Pronto’s solutions could do to solve those issues.”
Pronto opened its Perth office in November last year, expanding its network to reach key clients in the resources sector.
The company also recently completed a roadshow in Perth, demonstrating its capabilities to potential clients.
Pronto managing director David Jackman said the software company’s focus was on helping firms reduce operating costs and improving efficiencies.
“Pronto is the perfect choice for businesses such as Bhagwan with multiple sites in remote locations, which require access to business-critical information like financials and project costs,” he said.
