Below is the latest announcement from the company:
Berkeley Resources Limited (ASX and AIM: BKY) ("Berkeley" or "the Company") is pleased to advise that its ordinary shares have today been admitted to trading on the AIM market of the London Stock Exchange.
The Admission to AIM is intended to broaden Berkeley's shareholder base, offer investors in the UK and European markets easier access to the Company's securities and service an existing large portion of the Company's register. The Company has appointed RBC Capital Markets as its Nominated Adviser in relation to its AIM admission as well as joint broker with Mirabaud Securities Limited.
Chairman Dr Robert Hawley said today "We are delighted to be bringing Berkeley to London at a time of great interest in the nuclear energy industry and uranium mining sector. We believe our strategy of focussing on European uranium is both unique and strategically advantageous given the demand for nuclear energy in the region. Our representation by RBC, which we consider is a leading uranium adviser worldwide, and Mirabaud, with its strong European orientation, is ideal to bring the Company to the London market".
The Company's ordinary shares will continue to be listed on the Australian Stock Exchange (ASX). Shareholders can trade their shares on either ASX or AIM, but before doing so, will need to transfer their shares onto the relevant share registry and establish an account with an appropriate stock broker. The Company and its share registrars can provide further details on such procedures to interested shareholders.
