Perenti’s underground mining services arm Barminco has secured a $180 million contract extension for work at Regis Resources' Duketon operations.
Perenti’s underground mining business arm Barminco will continue its association with Regis Resources, following another contract extension.
In April 2024, both parties agreed to an initial three-year deal, with scope for additional one-year extension contracts on a rolling basis.
Last year, both parties agreed to an initial one-year extension, valued at $180 million, meaning that the agreement would expire on March 30 2028.
On Wednesday, both parties confirmed a subsequent 12-month extension had been inked.
Perenti’s president of contract mining, Gabrielle Iwanow, said the deal provided certainty for both parties.
“I’m pleased that Regis and Barminco have agreed to extend the alliance at the Duketon operations,” she said.
“We have a strong working relationship with Regis and the alliance framework provides ongoing planning certainty for both parties, enabling us to continue delivering safe, reliable production.
“Barminco remains committed to working closely with our clients, both locally and globally, to create long‑term value.”
Elsewhere on Wednesday, Regis announced Duketon had produced around 57,500 ounces of gold during the March 2025 quarter, playing a significant component of the goldminer’s 90,600oz for the period.
Overall, Duketon has generated 173,500oz so far during FY26 and appears on course to reach its targeted guidance of 220,000-240,000oz – while Regis’ present overall group guidance of 277,500oz is only 72,500oz away from reaching the bottom end of its annual FY26 production guidance of 350,000-380,000oz.
As of 9.56am AWST, Perenti shares were up 4 per cent to $2.08.
