AUSTRALIAN and Middle East-based consulting engineering firm BG&E has bought Perth engineering consultancy Carnegie Consulting to further capitalise on the state’s booming resources sector.
The addition of Carnegie, which specialises in industrial and mining work, for an undisclosed sum will significantly bolster BG&E’s current heavy engineering capabilities, with the six-person Carnegie team joining BG&E’s 110-person Perth office immediately.
BG&E said it believed the acquisition would enhance its current strategic focus on the industrial, mining and oil and gas engineering sectors while providing increased opportunities for its staff to undertake a diverse range of work.
BG&E was established in Perth in 1970 and specialises as a consulting engineer on building structures, facades, bridgeworks, civil engineering and infrastructure.
It has worked on a diverse range of award-winning projects including the Burj Dubai development in the Middle East, Central Park Tower in Perth, the WACA light towers, the Windan Bridge on the Graham Farmer Freeway and the Australian Marine Complex in Henderson.
