BGC wins road bid

THE contract to construct and primerseal 51.1 kilometres of the Mt Magnet to Sandstone Road has been awarded to BGC Contracting.

Work on the $12.1 million project is expected to begin in July and be completed by December.

The new road will combine an upgrade of the existing gravel road and a new alignment reducing the total length by some three kilometres.

The contract is part of the WA Government’s commitment to seal the road between the towns of Mount Magnet and Leinster.
