Subiaco-based company Autodom Ltd (formerly a.i. Ltd) has expanded once again through the acquisition of Victoria's HPG Engineering & Associates Pty Ltd for $3.75 million.
The deal comes just two days after Autodom announced it had taken a 50 per cent shareholding in Micro Wind Turbines Australia Pty Ltd, which will be licensed to nationally distribute the world's first silent building-mountable wind turbine, SWIFT.
HPG meanwhile, is a first tier supplier to Holden and Ford and manufactures a range of components for use in the VE Holden Commodore, Ford BF and Orion series of vehicles.
The acquisition establishes a physical presence in Victoria for Autodom's subsidiary aiAutomotive and will push Autodom's automotive group revenue above $125 million per annum.
It is expected HPG will add $2.5m in EBITDA in fiscal 2009 to the automotive group.
Autodom said negotiations were continuing for the purchase of the business of another Victorian-based component manufacturer- Kozma Industries- which it announced late last year.
