Austal's mystery ferry buyer ups spend to $200m

The mystery buyer which signed a $140 million passenger ferries contract with Henderson-based ship-builder Austal Ltd has upped its spend by around $60 million, the company announced today.

Following the announcement on November 17 confirming the purchase of multiple fast ferries the attached options have now been exercised adding further vessels to this purchase.

The value of the additional order is approximately $60 million.

The ferries will be delivered in 2008.
