Austal clarifies CEO plans

In a statement today, Perth-based ship builder Austal Ltd said that"contrary to incorrect media reports over the weekend, Austal Ltd has not appointed Mr Bob Browning as Chief Executive Officer".

Mr Browning is Chief Executive Officer of Austal's 100 per cent subsidiary operations in the United States.

Mr John Rothwell has indicated no intention to step down from his role as Executive Chairman of the Company.
