Maxim Litigation Consultants has appointed Andries Ludik as a solicitor of the practice, with a focus on commercial litigation. Mr Ludik was previously a lawyer to the Supreme Court of WA and an attorney of the High Court in South Africa. He was the managing partner in a successful practice in Pretoria, South Africa before emigrating with his family to WA.
Wood joins council
John Wood has been appointed to the Australian Qualifications Framework Council as a representative of the higher education sector. Professor Wood is currently executive general manager of the university programs division at global education program provider Navitas.
Hodgkin leaves Ikon
Glen Hodgkin has resigned as managing director of media agency Ikon Perth. Communications director Andrew Morrill has also resigned, and moved back to Sydney.
Keay-Smith heads ABCN
The Australian Business and Community Network has appointed Lois Keay-Smith as the WA state manager. Ms Keay-Smith has previously worked in career development roles in community service, professional sport with Western Force rugby, private and the tertiary sector. ABCN runs mentoring and coaching programs for schools and students.
Woodfield to Wrays
Jo Woodfield has been appointed as director of brand and culture services at intellectual property firm Wrays. Ms Woodfield previously owned her own consultancy firm and has held senior roles in marketing including national brand manager for Dusk.
Moore promoted at Badge
Commercial builder Badge has appointed John Moore to the newly created position of operations manager for the WA division of the group. Mr Moore was previously one of the company’s eight construction managers in WA.
New recruits at Logikal
Independent project manager Logikal Partners has appointed Ray Loh as business development manager. Mr Loh will oversee the company’s integrated project training and resourcing solution for the oil and gas and mining sectors. Azam Zaher, who has recently returned to Perth from the Middle East, has been appointed as a principal consultant. He specialises in project controls strategy and implementation.
Cameron joins Alpha Travel
Andrea Cameron has been appointed as group and incentive specialist at boutique travel agency Alpha Travel. Ms Cameron was previously director of events at DC Shoes in the US.
