ZYL recruits Greenwood
Emerging coal producer ZYL has appointed geologist David Greenwood as a non-executive and technical director to the board. Mr Greenwood is the executive general manager of external affairs and exploration at Straits Resources, and was previously the section head of new business and international operations within the coal division at Gold Fields of South Africa.
Boronovskis joins Solar Shop
Australia’s largest solar power supplier, Solar Shop, has appointed Max Boronovskis as its new business development manager for WA. Mr Boronovskis has 20 years’ experience in agribusiness and has spent time abroad exploring business opportunities in China and working with Japanese trading house Marubeni.
Cattalini to WACOSS
The Western Australian Council of Social Service has appointed Irina Cattalini as its new chief executive officer. Ms Cattalini was previously the council’s director of social policy and is a fellow of Leadership WA. Former CEO Sue Ash will take up a new role as the CEO of UnitingCare West in April.
New registrars for Landgate
The Western Australian Land Information Authority has appointed new assistant registrars Roslyn Dixon, Van La, Vikki McRoberts, Ron Bennett, Fred Jones, Geoff Singleton and Jack Ngo.
Byrne an Entity solution
Contractor manager Entity Solutions has appointed Adrian Byrne as state manager. Mr Byrne was previously the national projects coordinator at Premium Beverages and has over 15 years experience in management and business development.
Lee joins WorkCover board
WorkCover WA has assigned Karin Lee to a three-year appointment on the board. Ms Lee has been senior adviser health, OSH and Workers’ Compensation, at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry WA since 2005.
Bergmann heads new foundation
Former Kimberly Land Council executive director Wayne Bergmann is the new CEO of Kimberley Regional Economic Enterprises. KRED is a new corporation aimed at fast-tracking resources industry agreements with Kimberly Aboriginals. Mr Bergmann will stay on with the KLC as an unpaid director to continue ongoing negotiations.
Reynolds steps down
Construction, Forestry, Mining and Energy Union boss Kevin Reynolds will retire from his role as WA state secretary at the end of the year. Mr Reynolds has lead construction unions in WA since 1973, and will remain as a consultant until at least August next year. Union organiser Michael Buchan will take over from Mr Reynolds in a caretaker capacity until the next state secretary is elected.
Macmahon appoints Mason
Ashley Mason has been appointed to the new created role of executive general manager for strategy and development.
