Carbon leaves Waste Authority
Waste Authority chairman Barry Carbon has resigned due to conflicts of interests claims. Mr Carbon has been chairman of the authority since its establishment two years ago and was head of its predecessor the Waste Management Board. He is currently the chairman of mining company Bauxite Resources.
Energia appoints Iannello
Energia Minerals has appointed Tony Iannello as non-executive chairman. He was previously the managing director of Western Power and currently chairs the boards of HBF Health Fund, MG Kailis Group and Aviva Corporation and is also a director of SP Ausnet, an energy network company in Victoria.
UWA exec joins national solar body
The University of Western Australia's finance and resources executive director Gaye McMath has been appointed to the Australian government's $1.5 billion Solar Flagship Council which will assess proposals for the construction of large-scale solar power stations in Australia.
AECOM hires Werren
AECOM has appointed Richard Werren as oil & gas industry director. Mr Werren will be based in Perth drawing on his 38 years of engineering experience including engineering manager for the Kellogg Joint Venture for Woodside Petroleum’s LNG train, engineering manager for the front end engineering design for Woodside’s liquids expansion project and senior project engineer on BG’s Chile LNG project.
Bouffler joins St Vincent de Paul
John Bouffler has been appointed chief executive officer of the St Vincent de Paul Society in Western Australia. Mr Bouffler previously held a senior management role with National Australia Bank and has more than 20 years’ experience in the corporate banking and finance sector including with the Commonwealth Bank of Australia.
O’Toole to Briscoe
Briscoe Search & Consulting has appointed Holly O’Toole as support consultant. Ms O’Toole has a background in sales, administration and finance in Australia and the UK.
Goodwin, Whitehand roles at Clough
Clough has appointed former company secretary Mark Goodwin (far right) to the position of group manager corporate finance and former business improvement manager, and John Whitehand to the position of company secretary. Mr Goodwin has significant experience in major infrastructure projects, working for KPMG and Ernst & Young in the UK and Australia. Mr Whitehand’s experience in accounting includes working for Arthur Andersen & Co working in their Sydney and Perth offices before joining the RTZ group. He has worked in the mining industry for more than 15 years in a range of roles covering treasury, finance, marketing, and business development both in Australia and overseas.

Hancock joins PRIMEXL
PRIMEXL has appointed Tracey Hancock as operations manager-psychological services. Ms Hancock heads PRIMEXL’s team of psychologists, which provides corporate psychological services along with critical incident response. Ms Hancock has more than 12 years’ experience in a range of roles with a strong clinical background, having worked with companies including Woodside Energy Ltd, Rio Tinto and Qantas.
Cox takes grains role
Barry Cox has been appointed general manager of COGGO Seeds. Mr Cox has been involved in agribusiness for more than 30 years, working across much of the grain supply chain, including with the Grain Pool of WA, Davison Oils, SGB, Wesfarmers Dalgety SeedTech and Nugrain.
Allingame MBA WA president
Pindan managing director George Allingame has been re-elected as president of the Master Builders Association of Western Australia for a third consecutive year. Mr Allingame has almost 40 years’ experience in the building and construction industry, which includes the foundation of Pindan more than 30 years ago. He is the association’s 52nd president and has been a councillor of the MBA for 17 years.
