Pickard new Shell chair
Shell Australia has announced that Ann Pickard will succeed Russell Caplan as chairman of the Shell companies in Australia from August 1. Mr Caplan will retire after more than 42 years with the global energy company working across many areas of Shell’s operations, in Australia, the UK, Europe and the US. Ms Pickard will continue in her role as executive vice-president of Upstream Australia and will continue to be based in Perth. Prior to taking up her role in Australia, Ms Pickard was Shell’s regional executive vice-president for Sub Sahara Africa, based in Lagos Nigeria.
Marney reappointed
Tim Marney has been reappointed under-treasurer at the Department of Treasury and Finance. Mr Marney’s reappointment is effective from June 20 for a term of five years. Mr Marney has held the position under-treasurer since June 2005. For further information please refer to page 27.
Tilbrook to chair Transpacific
Former Wesfarmers finance director Gene Tilbrook has been appointed as non-executive chairman of Transpacific Industries. The Queensland-based company is focused on waste and resource management. Mr Tilbrook will replace Terry Peabody, who is stepping down from the company’s board after 27 years. In August last year, Mr Tilbrook was to the board of NBN Co Limited, the company established to deliver the $43 billion national broadband network.
Plum job for Hunt
Greg Hunt has been appointed non-executive director of grain marketer Plum Grove. Mr Hunt was the managing director of Elders for 28 years until 2007 and has held board positions with BWK Ag, Australian Agricultural Co, Hi Fert, Websters, Elders Insurance and Elders Rural Bank.
Caruso to Crosslands
Crosslands Resources has appointed Andrew Caruso as chief executive officer. Mr Caruso replaces Stuart Hall, who was CEO of Crosslands since 2008. Mr Caruso was managing director at Australasian Resources and has worked with Snowden Mining Consultants, BHP Billiton Iron Ore, BHP Coal and PT Inco Indonesia.
Campbell brokers LTM deal
Malcolm Campbell has joined insurance broker, LTM Risk Partners as an authorised representative. He previously worked as a senior account executive with Statewide Insurance Brokers. Mr Campbell has more than 25 years' experience in the general insurance industry and specialises in SMEs.

Andrew Sanders, part owner of Credo Group, has taken on a new national role as general manager, operations of the workforce mobilisation solutions business.
Pereira CFO at WestNet Rail
WestNet Rail has appointed Brian Pereira to the position of chief financial officer. Mr Pereira is a chartered accountant who has spent the majority of his career in the financial services sector, most recently with Bankwest.
Jordan manages at Integro
Subiaco-based boutique financial planning practice Integro Private Financial Consulting has appointed Lisa Jordan as client service manager. Ms Jordan has a more than 10 years' experience with Hartleys, ANZ and NAB.
Benda joins Marvic
Kellie Benda has been appointed executive director and proprietor of Marvic Packaging Australia. Ms Benda was previously an executive general manager at RAC.
Sullivan to Greg Rowe
Town planning, urban design and project management consultants Greg Rowe and Associates has named Monica Sullivan as manager of its Mid West region office in Geraldton. Ms Sullivan joins GRA after two years as a town planner working at the Shire of Northampton.
