Atkins, Kristjanson join Lotterywest
ANZ WA chairman John Atkins has been appointed chairman and board member at Lotterywest. Mr Atkins comes to the role with a background in commercial law. He was head of the national law firm Freehills’ Perth office and, in addition to his role at ANZ, is vice-president of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry WA. Joining him on the board is Linda Kristjanson, deputy vice-chancellor, research and development at Curtin University of Technology. Professor Kristjanson has been chair of palliative care at The Cancer Council WA and served as a member of the National Health and Medical Research Council.
Iluka appoints Osborn, Turner
Iluka Resources has appointed former Alcoa of Australia managing director Wayne Osborn (pictured)and Stephen Turner as non-executive directors. Mr Osborn is a non-executive director of Leighton Holdings and Wesfarmers, and currently chairs Thiess and the Australian Institute of Marine Science. He is also a director of the International Centre for Radio Astronomy Research and a Trustee of the Western Australian Museum. Mr Turner is the founder and previously the chief executive officer of Ferro Metals. He has had responsibility for resource project developments in Australia, Africa, and the Pacific Islands. He was also the founding director of the Australian subsidiary of PSG Investment Group, a South African investment bank.
Johnson, Ruprecht to redevelopment board
Charles Johnson and John Ruprecht have been appointed to the Armadale Redevelopment Authority board of management. They bring professional skills to the board, particularly in planning and water policy. Executive Director of the Department of Planning, Strategic Policy and Research, Mr Johnson has been appointed as deputy chairperson. He has a background in urban geography and town planning, with almost 30 years' experience working at local and State government levels. As director of water resource management at the Department of Water, Mr Ruprecht has more than 25 years' experience in water supply, water resource management and natural resource management.
Bowen has a WIN
Paul Bowen has been appointed to the role of regional manager WA at WIN Corporation. Mr Bowen will manage the daily operations of WIN WA and oversee the introduction of new digital channels in regional WA. He has worked in television for more than 30 years in sales and senior management roles, including general manager of Channel Nine Perth.

Recruitment Partners has appointed Sahera Shaikh (far right) to the position of senior recruitment consultant and Cassy Thursby-Pelham to the position of business development coordinator. Ms Shaikh specialises in 'white collar' placements within the construction, property and real estate industries, while Ms Thursby-Pelham will focus on identifying new recruitment opportunities across commerce and industry in general.

Community sustainability program, daysofchange.org has appointed WA Local Government Association CEO Ricky Burges and managing director of Cullen Wines, Vanya Cullen, to its growing team of directors. Mr Burges has previously held the positions of director general of the Ministry for Culture and the Arts, CEO of Perth Zoo, and director of human resources at the WA Tourism Commission.
Ms Cullen has achieved international recognition through the environmental practices used at her Wilyabrup vineyard and has been credited with helping put the Margaret River wine region on the map.
