Clements joins Porteous
William Porteous Properties has appointed Peter Clements as a senior sales executive. Mr Clements, a western suburbs native, was previously with Caporn Young Claremont and reputed to be one of the state’s top property agents.
Welborn appointed to Tourism WA
Western Force founding player and former investment banker John Welborn has been appointed to the board of Tourism WA. Mr Welborn is currently the managing director of explorer Prairie Downs Metals, serves as the chairman of Future Now, the Creative and Leisure Industries Training Council and is a director of RugbyWA. He is expected to bring his experience in corporate finance and company administration to the Tourism board.
Satterley expands with Miller
Peter Miller (pictured) has been appointed national business development manager of Satterley Property Group. Mr Miller has more than 20 years’ experience in land development and the construction industry in Australia, Asia and in the Middle East. The appointment is part of the Satterley Group’s expansion outlined last year when former Stockland WA general manager Nicholas Perrignon was appointed chief controlling officer.
Hogan heads to Venus
Perth-based Venus Resources has appointed former United Minerals Corporation chief Matthew Hogan as managing director. Mr Hogan was previously a non-executive director on the Venus Board since its formation in 2006.

Turner takes leukaemia role
Former CEO of the Margaret River Wine Industry Association Carolyn Turner has been appointed general manager of the Leukaemia Foundation in WA. Ms Turner has national and international corporate experience as general manager alliances for Qantas. She will focus on forging new corporate relationships for the foundation and orchestrating essential revenue initiatives.
Broadhurst, Patapan to Hames Sharley
Hames Sharley has appointed Arun Broadhurst (far right) to its leadership team as principal planner, urban design.Mr Broadhurst has experience in urban design and planning, particularly in large-scale land development, gained from recent work in Switzerland and previous employment with Delfin Lend Lease in Victoria. Vaughn Patapan has been appointed as national director of Planning and Urban Design.
Mr Patapan has held senior executive roles with developers including The Raptis Group, Juniper Developments, and Mirvac, where he was national design director.
Horan CEO for Bunbury chamber
The Bunbury Chamber of Commerce and Industries has appointed Andrew Horan as chief executive officer. Mr Horan is known in the South West for his role as general manager of the Dolphin Discovery Centre. He has been the business manager of Bunbury-based building company Smith Constructions.
Rosair Lands the job
Paul Rosair has been appointed as the inaugural director general of the Department of Regional Development and Lands. Mr Rosair has been the acting Director general since the department was established last year. He has extensive experience across government in the regional development, indigenous affairs, natural resources, water, environment, land and infrastructureportfolios.
