Management Group has appointed Kaye Norman (far right) and Dawn Grundy as senior recruitment consultants. Ms Norman has 20 years’ experience in the telecommunications industry, having worked for Optus Communications in various roles. Ms Grundy has held roles with companies both in the UK and on the east coast of Australia, such as Kimberly-Clark, Avery Dennison and AeroMobile. She brings with her over 13 years’ experience in the business development and marketing sectors.
Johnson manager at Linear Research
Cameron Johnson has been appointed head of Linear Clinical Research, Western Australia’s forthcoming clinical trials facility. Mr Johnson has held a number of coordinator and managerial positions across a range of clinical trials operations in Melbourne, Brisbane and London. His most recent role was as clinical operations manager for Adelaide-based company CMAX, a clinical research facility and division of IDT Australia. Based at the medical centre in Nedlands, Linear will be a subsidiary of the Western Australian Institute for Medical Research.
Boshard to Woods Bagot
Grant Boshard has been appointed as director of Woods Bagot’s Perth studio. Mr Boshard has 15 years’ experience as an architect, having worked for companies including Stefan Antoni Architects and Rice Perry Ellis before joining Woods Bagot’s Dubai studio in 2005. He was project director for Dubai’s Saadiyat Beach Resort.
Taylor gets the seat
Group managing director of 303 Perth, Alan Taylor, has been appointed chairman of the WA branch of The Communications Council (formerly the Advertising Federation of Australia). He succeeds Marketforce’s John Driscoll, who held the position for four years.
Rear, Ross to Corrs
Corrs Chambers Westgarth has appointed Simon Rear as senior associate. Mr Rear returns to Corrs from Herbert Smith London, where he worked on private and public M&A. His recent experience includes advising the underwriters on Rio Tinto’s rights issue. Tanya Ross joins Corrs from Denton Wilde Sapte, where she worked in their London and Moscow offices. Ms Ross is a banking and finance specialist, and has advised a wide range of clients including the Commonwealth Bank of Australia, NAB, BNP Paribas and HSBC.
Thompson’s Azumah role
Azumah Resources has appointed Alan Thompson to the newly created role of study manager for the flagship Wa Gold Project in Ghana. Mr Thompson’s role will be to drive a feasibility study for the development of the first commercial-scale gold mining operation in the emerging north-west Ghana gold province. He has more than 28 years’ experience in the resource industry and most recently was senior study manager with international engineering company AMEC Minproc, and prior to that with Lycopodium Engineering.
Harris counsel at Purple
Purple Communications has appointed Richard Harris as senior counsel. Mr Harris has wide experience in WA’s energy and resources sectors. His most recent experience includes sole responsibility for the external affairs and approvals for WA’s gas-fired power station at Neerabup for ERM Power.

Marketing and communications agency Linc Integrated has appointed Wayne Lubbe as creative director.
Clarification
Recent notices have created some confusion with regard to Marion Fulker and Frank Edwards. Ms Fulker continues a chief executive of the Committee for Perth, while Mr Edwards is chief executive of the City of Perth.
