Extract Resources has appointed former Rio Tinto board member Jonathan Leslie as its new chief executive officer. Mr Leslie was on the board of Rio Tinto for nine years and previously served as executive chairman of AIM-listed mining company, Nikanor.
Kellow new BHP steel president
BHP Billiton has appointed Glenn Kellow as president of its stainless steel materials division, a position based in Perth, taking over from Gerard Bond. Mr Kellow will make the move from the US where he has been the company president and chief operating officer of New Mexico Coal for the past three years. Prior to that he was the chief financial officer of base metals for BHP, a company he has been with for the past 25 years. Mr Bond will relocate to Melbourne and assume the role of project director in BHP's finance group.
Henley heads to Synergy Plus
Synergy Plus has appointed Garry Henley (pictured) to the role of chief executive. Acting CEO Peter Cappendell will take on the role of chief operating officer. Mr Henley brings more than 25 years experience in the IT&T system integration sector and was a founder of Alphawest, where he was managing director and CEO.
