Truter chief at Argyle
Kim Truter has been appointed as managing director of Rio Tinto’s Argyle diamond business. Mr Truter was previously president and chief operating officer of the Diavik diamond mine in Canada, which Rio Tinto runs as a joint venture with Canadian company Harry Winston.
Anderson moves to CEO
Scott Anderson has been appointed as chief executive officer of McMullen Nolan Group. Mr Anderson has been with McMullen Nolan since 1990 when he joined as a graduate surveyor, and was most recently a director on the company’s board.
Ashurst promotes Pacitti
Lorenzo Pacitti has been promoted from senior associate to partner in the Perth office of law firm Ashurst, from 1 July. Mr Pacitti practices in the energy and resources group.
Jones leads Xodus in Perth
Andy Jones (pictured) has been appointed as operations director of the Xodus Group’s newly opened Perth office. Mr Jones was previously the team leader for dynamic process simulation at Genesis in Perth, and prior to that worked at Xodus’ headquarters in Scotland. The energy consultancy has also appointed Nick Jacob as environment engineering team lead, Michael Putrino as flow assurance engineer, Matt Doyle as principal process engineer and Janine Molineux as financial controller in its first Australian office.
Manifis to William Buck
Mid-tier accounting firm William Buck has appointed Conley Manifis as an audit and assurance director in the Perth office. Mr Conley was previously an audit partner with Deloitte in Perth.
Jones ECU research director
Margaret Jones has been appointed as the director of the Office of Research and Innovation at Edith Cowan University. Dr Jones has moved back to Perth from Abu Dhabi, where she was a research specialist for a range of clients, including the National Research Foundation and the WA Trade Office.
Hutson to Insight
Software support provider Insight Business Solutions has appointed Dave Hutson as business development manager.
Garvey joins JLL
Real estate firm Jones Lang LaSalle has appointed Anna Garvey as an analyst in the research and consulting division of its Perth office. Ms Garvey previously held the same role in the company’s Melbourne office for two years.
