

Lock chairs WAMIA
David Lock has been appointed as chairman of the WA Meat Industry Authority, replacing Kerry McAuliffe, who has stepped down after more than a decade in the position. Mr Lock is chief executive officer of the Craig Mostyn Group.
Hill top man at Port Hedland
Ian Hill has been appointed as acting chief executive officer for the Town of Port Hedland council following the resignation of Paul Martin. Mr Hill was previously the director of community and economic development at the City of Mandurah and CEO for the Shire of Albany.

Board member and Warmun community chief executive officer Ralph Addis has been appointed as chairman of the Kimberley Development Commission following the resignation of Patrick Dodson. Shire of Halls Creek president Sciona Browne has been appointed as deputy chairman. Shire of Broome councillor Eunice Yu, Halls Creek school teacher Doreen Green, Kimberley grower Robert Boshammer and Willie Creek Pearls managing director Robert Banfield have also been appointed as board members following the retirement of Tom Vinnicombe and Michael Caplehorn.
Tucak opens Perth practice
Director Michael Tucak has opened the Perth office of arts and entertainment legal firm Creative Legal. Mr Tucak is the company founder and will divide his time between Perth and Melbourne.

Newspaper publisher News Ltd has appointed Melvin Mansell to the newly created position of state editorial director of SA, WA and NT. Sam Weir will replace him as editor of Adelaide’s The Advertiser and Christopher Dore will replace Mr Weir as editor of the Sunday Times and PerthNow.
