Management changes at Perron
Perth-based property investor Perron Group has appointed Graeme Glass, previously with ISPT and ING, as senior asset manager, responsible for the Belmont Forum and Mirrabooka Square shopping centres. Former Knight Frank property manager Alwin Bax has been appointed as asset manager. General manager property investments Andrew Byars assumes responsibility for all Perron Group property investments, following the retirement of company veterans Geoff Pinkus and Reg Shepherd.
Burbidge heads Curtin’s ASDI
Curtin University has
appointed Mike Burbridge as executive director of its
Australian Sustainable Development Institute.
He previously worked for the Victorian Department of Treasury and Finance and, before that, ENTEC UK.
Mott to Berkeley River
Jodie Mott has been appointed general manager of the Berkeley River tourist development in the Kimberley, which is due to open this month. Ms Mott previously managed the Eco Beach retreat near Broome.
Carey made Deloitte partner
Accounting and professional services firm Deloitte has appointed Donna Carey as a partner in the Perth office, specialising in mining. Ms Carey has spent the past six years in the energy, infrastructure and utilities practice at the company’s London office. Former Mallesons Stephen Jaques senior associate Cathryn Ferrari has been appointed account director in the indirect tax team to establish Deloitte’s Perth stamp duty practice.
Retallack joins Cullshaw Miler
Tim Retallack has been appointed as director – litigation at Culshaw Miller Lawyers, heading up the litigation and dispute resolution section. He was previously a principal at Maxim Litigation Consultants.
New faces at Lavan Legal
WA law firm Lavan Legal has appointed Ben Fong as special counsel in corporate services and Paul Mac as senior associate in commercial advice and litigation. Mr Fong was previously a senior tax adviser at a ‘Big Four’ accounting firm and was seconded as legal counsel to Westpac Institutional Bank. Mr Mac has experience advising insolvency practitioners and in commercial litigation.
Kane to Watermark
Carol Kane has been appointed as a patent and trade marks attorney at law firm Watermark Intellectual Asset Management. Ms Kane specialises in biotechnology and biology patenting, trade mark infringement and registrability advice and branding strategies.
Teakle joins Sheffield
Mineral sands explorer Sheffield Resources has appointed Mark Teakle as project development manager at its Eneabba project in the Mid West. Mr Teakle was previously executive director at Mineral Sands (now Corvette Resources/Tianshan Goldfields) and has also held senior positions at Aberfoyle Resources and Australian Zircon.
