New deputy VCs for Murdoch
Murdoch University has appointed David Morrison as deputy vice-chancellor (research) and Ann Capling as deputy vice-chancellor (education), from February 2012. Professor Morrison is currently Winthrop professor and head of UWA’s School of Psychology, and has previously worked at the University of Queensland and the University of Wales. Professor Capling is currently a professor of political science at the University of Melbourne, and previously held appointments at ANU, Monash University and the University of Calgary, Canada.
Eastwood joins Squire Sanders
Law firm Squire Sanders has appointed Robert Eastwood to the Perth office as a senior associate with the corporate team. Mr Eastwood previously worked at Baker & McKenzie in London, and prior to that at a Perth boutique corporate law firm focusing on acquisitions, capital raisings and compliance advice for mining companies.
Fitzmaurice to AECOM
Technical and professional services consultancy AECOM has appointed Paul Fitzmaurice as strategy development manager – oil and gas, for the WA and central regions. He was previously the general manager sales & marketing for Bureau Veritas Australia.
Wyatt, O’Callaghan in youth role
Federal member for Hasluck Ken Wyatt and WA Police commissioner Karl O’Callaghan have been appointed to the Luke Adams Foundation board, which aims to educate youth about the impact of violence on the community.
Campbell, Lozinski to United
Digital advertising agency Market United has appointed Scott Campbell (top) as design director and David Lozinski as technical director. Mr Campbell was previously the digital art director at Stormbox Perth, and Mr Lozinski previously worked at the WA Department of Justice and Department of the Attorney General.
Shervington on water board
Farmer and business management consultant Helen Shervington has been appointed to the Busselton Water Board, which manages water services to the community, following the retirement of Neema Premji. Ms Shervington has previously worked for the state government and served as chair of the Busselton Wetlands Committee and Busselton Foreshore Working Group.
Fraser joins Vow Financial
Mortgage broker Vow Financial has appointed Margaret Fraser as state manager for WA, SA, and NT, to pursue business growth of the company’s network in these states. She was previously the WA state manager at Elders Home Loans, and prior to that managed a franchise through LJ Hooker Home Loans.

WA helicopter company Heliwest has appointed David Kiggins, previously with Global Construction Services, as chief financial officer and Claude Alviani as business development manager. Nicola Burton has been appointed as contracts and tenders administrator.
