Nolin to leave Freo chamber
Peter Nolin will resign from his position as chief executive officer of the Fremantle Chamber of Commerce when his contract expires at the end of November. Mr Nolin has been in the role for the past three years, during which he has helped reposition the chamber from primarily a marketing and promotions focused organisation into an advocate for the wider business community.
Devenish joins Smartline
Mortgage broking firm Smartline has appointed David Devenish as its new state manager for WA. Mr Devenish was previously the director of Profound Property, and an associate director at Macquarie Bank.
Sargeant joins AECOM
Technical and professional services consultancy AECOM has appointed Roy Sargeant as technical director in the ANZ mining team, based in Perth. Mr Sargeant was previously a project manager with clients including Rio Tinto, BHP Billiton and Anglo Platinum.
Brown appointed to ECCC
The Economic Regulation Authority has appointed Charles Brown to the Electricity Code Consultative Committee, which reviews the code that regulates the conduct of electricity retailers, distributors and marketers in relation to the supply and marketing of electricity. Mr Brown is an executive officer of the Financial Counsellors Association of WA and replaces Julie Abela on the committee.
